New project

Here's another fun project that I designed. One of my customers asked me to do "something with wheels". Now, I use wheels a lot for borders and to decorate gift bags but I do use them on cards very often. I just don't ever really think to pull them out when I'm designing a card. I'm making a mental note that I need to do this more often. I really like the way this card came out. All products are from Stampin' Up! (of course):

Stamps: Celebrate Everything, Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel

Inks: Tempting Turquoise classic ink and jumbo ink cartridge

Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White

Other: Real Red Striped Grosgrain (I'm loving the striped ribbon!), Star Punch, Large Star punch, ticket corner punch, and of course dimensionals!

It's hard to tell but the star punched out pieces are adhered on top of the wheeled stars.

Getting Started

So, here's the first project I'm uploading to my blog. I submitted this layout to Stampin' Up! for a contest. I haven't heard back, so I have no idea if it's a winner. Regardless I love this layout! For this project I used Stampin' Up! Jersey Shore DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Old Olive cardstock, Big Deal alphabet, Whisper White Craft Ink, White embossing powder, Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, This way punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, Photo corners punch, and rubons. I loved these pictures when I took this last summer but hadn't gotten around to doing anything with them. I hope you enjoy this project. I loved using the circles in this layout, to me it repeated the pattern in the paper and really put the focus on the large picture!

I did it!

Ok, so I've been thinking of starting a blog for sometime now. I finally decided to bite the bullet and do it. I hope to post frequently but as all of you know life sometimes gets in the way. I will be uploading projects I'm working on and other fun stuff. Keep an eye out for upcoming classes, camps, and tutorials. I'm really looking forward to sharing ideas more frequently with all of you!
